August 10, 2026 – Bradenton, FL – The brothers of the Sarasota (FL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. kicked off the new school year by participating in an Achievement Clap-In at Manatee Elementary School, welcoming students on their first day of classes.
Brothers lined the school’s cafeteria entrance, cheering, clapping, and giving high-fives as students arrived, creating an atmosphere of encouragement and excitement. The positive welcome helped inspire confidence and enthusiasm as students began the 2026–2027 academic year.
Principal Terra Ward expressed her sincere appreciation for the fraternity’s support and was delighted to welcome the men of Kappa Alpha Psi to her campus. She shared that the brothers’ presence made a meaningful impact on both students and staff, reinforcing the importance of community partnerships in education.
Following the clap-in, Polemarch Keenan Wooten presented Principal Ward with a donation to support Teacher Appreciation Week, recognizing the dedication and hard work of Manatee Elementary’s educators throughout the school year.
“The first day of school sets the tone for the entire year,” said Polemarch Keenan Wooten. “We wanted every student to know they are supported, encouraged, and capable of achieving greatness. We also wanted to recognize the incredible teachers who invest in our children every day.”
The Sarasota (FL) Alumni Chapter remains committed to strengthening partnerships with local schools and supporting educational initiatives that promote academic achievement, leadership, and community engagement throughout Sarasota and Manatee counties.
